  • Hi, I'm Simone Lis

     

    I've always been fascinated by the power of technology. Over ten years ago, this fascination became even more vital when I arrived in San Francisco with a suitcase and an idea. Against the advice of my family, I exchanged my steady but unfulfilling corporate management career in Germany for my California dream.

     

    At this time, I met at a startup party the founding team of Airbnb, and fascinating innovators suddenly surrounded me. If people surround you who want to actively shape our world, you also want to understand and use technologies better. You begin to see the significant challenges of this world and try to find creative solutions to these problems. I call this Digital Fluency - a mindset everybody can develop from the comfort of their own home without even traveling to Silicon Valley anymore.

     

    Many people talk about "Digital Fluency" as the future skill, but few consider learning this way of thinking in practice. So, together with my MatchlabN community, I co-created a pioneering program that, in addition to mastering digital literacy skills, also combines unique human skills such as Critical thinking, Creativity, and Emotional Intelligence. It helps employees to overcome technology fear and energizes them to start creating bold ideas with impact.

     

    My Innovation Journey started as a leadership program for CEOs and turned into a mission to leverage Digital Fluency to drive gender equality in workspaces. My goal is to inspire more corporate professionals, especially women, to think emotionally intelligent about the digital future we want to live in and help create it. That's MatchlabN.
